Graphical Representation of Essential Oil Paintings.

This painting captures the essence of Boswellia rivae, one of the nine commercially traded species of frankincense, celebrated for its cheerful energy. Known as a “happier” oil, as it doesn’t require cutting the tree for harvesting, the artist has infused the piece with vibrant shades of blue and green. In a whimsical twist, the name “rivae” forms a large, friendly smile with a set of goofy teeth, adding character to the artwork. A map outline of Ethiopia, one of the oil’s primary origins, is subtly woven in, with colors inspired by the Ethiopian flag. At the painting’s heart, a small, youthful branch of the Boswellia rivae tree emphasizes the vitality and uniqueness of this precious oil. While this oil has distinct aromas typical of the Boswellia species, it also has an overtone of Palo Santo.

These are prints of Frankincense (Boswellia rivae) GREO.  Representing the top 4-5 main constituents in the essential oil.  The painting was done on canvas in egg tempera.  The artist, Lucas Anderson, makes each paint himself, adds a couple drops of the essential oil into the paint to capture the energetics of the oil in the painting.

Each print, 8x10 or larger, comes with a couple drops of the oil for a multi sensory experience.

This GREO was produced in collaboration with the Airmid Institute.  50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Airmid Institute for use in setting up educational programs to strengthen the Frankincense supply chain.
